Everlasting Nothing is the final track on singer/songwriter Beck’s album that was released at the end of 2019 called Hyperspace. The album was recorded following the breakup of the artist’s 15-year marriage and makes frequent reference to an emotional curve. Everlasting Nothing describes a series of experiences with an unreal bent in which there is a continuous push to ‘get back home‘. At one point, the dream sequence opens like a movie that is both comic and tragic, and the movie develops into something almost Fellini-esque with a crowd of people applauding the rising sun.
