Jeremy Giles – Grass Field We Named Beach

Like a fistful of sand scattered across white space, poet Jeremy Giles leans into experimentalism in his poem “Grass Field We Named Beach”. In a fragmented sedimentary form of postmodernism, “Grass Field We Named Beach” is a beautiful example of “found poetry”, sourced from the author’s own prose. Amidst virbant imagery of flamingos and sweet meringue, sorrow seasons the poem like spice. Jeremy informed The Dewdrop, “‘Grass Field We Named Beach’ is an experimental white-out of my own climate fiction poem taking place in a field nicknamed ‘the beach.'”
